Cranleigh Ski Team competed in the ESSKIA (English Schools Ski Association) Championship qualifier on Sunday 15th September. This would be the first time the team had entered, and skiing on artificial snow was new to some of the competitors.
A strong boys team consisting of Ben A-B, Will F and Adam L and Ed F (CPS) performed outstandingly well placing 3rd behind Reed’s and St. Johns, with Ben securing joint 1st in his age category. Rose J entered as an individual, skiing very well and placing 3rd in her age group.
A huge thank you to all the parents who gave up their Sunday to take the skiers to Southampton, and a huge thank you to Ed and Jess F from Cranleigh Prep who volunteered to ski above their age group to ensure that the team could enter. The team will be entering the Surrey Schools championship at Aldershot next Sunday. Results for our skiers as follows:
