Part of the work of the Cranleigh International team is to visit our schools across the world and assess all facets of the schools’ operation. These quality assurance audits involve two or three days spent in each school meeting with leadership teams, the wider staff, student groups and often parents too. Mr James Dale-Adcock and Dr. John Taylor recently travelled to China to undertake audits at Cranleigh’s schools in Changsha and Wuhan. Both schools are housed in state-of-the-art new build campuses offering a wider range of co-curricular facilities including swimming pools, AstroTurf’s, climbing walls, Art galleries/studios, theatres and even a model UN debating chamber!

The audits found both schools to be in excellent health. Strong leadership prevails and students recognise that their schools not only develop them academically in preparation for university entrance in the UK or US, but also provide high end support for wellbeing coupled with pathways for personal development in co-curricular fields not commonly available in China. A strong attachment to the Ex Cultu Robur ethos was tangible.

Headmasters Adam McRoy and Dean Arthur welcomed the audits and affirmed the strong desire to further the close bond students and staff have with Cranleigh in the UK and Cranleigh Abu Dhabi.

Mr James Dale-Adcock
