Helen Carson

Mrs Carson is Head of Economics & Business Studies and tutor in South. She graduated from
the University of Bath with a BSc in Business Administration.  After a stint working at both L’Oreal and IMG gaining valuable business experience she moved to Cranleigh and completed her PGCE with the University of Buckingham. During her time at Cranleigh she carried out an international exchange with Newington College, Sydney where she spent a year in the Economics and Business department whilst also coaching tennis.

Having joined Cranleigh in 2013 she has held a number of posts.  Passionate about
the pastoral side of boarding School life she has been both Non-Residential Deputy
Housemistress of South House and more recently, Residential Deputy
Housemistress of Rhodes. She stepped out of the House in 2020 to start a
family with her husband and has
recently had two little girls before returning to the position of Head of
Department. She is passionate about sport and drama and has been involved
in a number of productions at Cranleigh whilst being heavily involved with
sport across all terms including hockey, netball, athletics and swimming. A keen runner, she has completed a number of marathons and can be found on the
golf course during the School holidays.
