Eighty four members of the Cranleigh CCF signed up for Ex TIGER CUB and it turned out to be a field day many will not forget! The brave cadets deployed on Wednesday straight after lessons had finished for Bordon military training area. They conducted basic field craft training, learning how to eat and live under field conditions. Nothing could have prepared them for the night they had to endure. One of the worst rain storms of the year rolled over the training area and thoroughly soaked everyone, this definitely tested robustness and resilience and all came through with a smile on their faces! The next day we were bathed in glorious autumnal sunshine, training was conducted all day (this gave the cadets a chance to dry out). First aid, survival skills and navigation were taught whilst the Upper Fifth and Sixth Forms practiced Section attacks and reconnaissance patrols before using their skills to conduct night time operations.
The Exercise culminated in section attacks at dawn led by RSM Ruari B-S and CSgt Bryn S.
