David Eaglestone

Mr Eaglestone is a highly experienced and enthusiastic instrumental teacher, ensemble leader and a tutor for Cubitt. In addition to his role at Cranleigh, he also teaches at City of London Freemen’s and is an active professional musician. 

Mr Dave Eaglestone started playing the
trombone at the age of ten, and by the age of twelve was playing solos with the local brass band. He went on to study at Cardiff University, where he was a concerto soloist with the university orchestra, and then at the Royal College of Music, where he
won two scholarships.

Mr Eaglestone was a founder member of the brass ensemble Brass10 with whom he won the Royal Overseas League ensemble competition and the Philharmonia Outreach Award. Mr Eaglestone’s performing career covers a huge variety of music with ensembles as diverse as Britten Sinfonia, London Mozart Players, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Brass Monkey, Wren Brass, and the World Famous Elvis Show.
