Dominique Chapman

Miss Dominique Chapman started as a Graduate Drama Assistant at Cranleigh in 2019 following her MA in Theatre Directing at the Orange Tree Theatre/ St Mary’s University. She now teaches both Drama and English and is a tutor in Rhodes.

Miss Chapman originally specialised in Early Modern Literature at the University of Kent, graduating with a first class BA in Drama, English and American Literature in 2014. She was accepted to study abroad during her degree at the University of California Berkeley, where she graduated with a Minor Diploma in Theatre Studies with a specialism in directing. She later undertook her actor training at the London School of Musical Theatre, before returning to her love of directing and choreography.

At the Orange Tree Theatre, Miss Chapman was the assistant director on the original production of Mayfly by Joe White, and directed Ella Hickson’s Precious Little Talent. She has since worked as an Education Practitioner and Youth Workshop Leader for Shakespeare’s Globe and the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre.

Her directing credits at Cranleigh include King Charles III (2019) and The Musicians (2020), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2021) Shakespeare in Love (2021) and Moana ( 2023).
