Sara Gonzalez Saavedra

Sara is a language-specialist teacher educator and she has been teaching Modern Foreign Languages in UK and internationally.

After graduating in Music and enjoying being a classically trained singer, Sara pursued a career change and retrained as a Spanish and French teacher, completing a PGCE at UEL. She has more than 10 years of experience teaching Spanish and French at KS3, KS4, and KS5, as well as the International Baccalaureate Programmes.

Passionate about the benefits of language learning for all children, Sara believes it should be an enjoyable and creative subject accessible to everyone.

Sara earned her BMus at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and a Humanities BA (History and French) at the Open University. Additionally, she holds a MMus and MMP obtained at City, University of London.

With a particular interest in travelling and learning about different cultures, Sara has taught in various institutions abroad, such as North London Collegiate School in Dubai and LEH in China. She is excited about returning to the United Kingdom and taking on the role of Head of Spanish at Cranleigh School.
