Paddlers at the ‘Weyside Kayak Race’ on Saturday January 26th competed in a 12 mile race from the Wey Kayak Club (Guildford) to Godalming and back. This provided the first of a series of training competitions for the very challenging Devizes-Westminster International kayak race this Easter.
All competitors finished safely and well in a good day out. Oli Parker (Cubitt, LVI) and Seb Haddock (Cubitt, LVI) proved the fastest crew of this first competition.
