IMG_9505Hoping to bring smiles to the faces of children in the Central Asian province of Kyrgyzstan, the girls from South and West joined forces this term to produce a grand total of 217 Christmas Shoe Boxes for Operation Christmas Child, a branch charity of Samaritans Purse.

South House have supported this charity for several years, and they were delighted that West decided to join them this year in providing these boxes full of gifts for some of the poorest children who will be celebrating Christmas this year: the boxes will provide them with small delights such as cuddly toys, gloves, pens, pencils and sweets but also with much needed basic toiletries.

The boxes were delivered last week to the warehouse in Guildford where the girls joined the charity’s grateful volunteers to help check the contents before IMG_9502taping them up for transportation.  What a fantastic effort from the girls.
