The Surrey Schools Cross-Country Championships took place last Saturday and included eight of Cranleigh’s best runners who had been selected to compete for Waverley.

In the Junior Boys race James Walker finishing an impressive 19th place with, Louis Vaughn and Will Dahl also running very well. Toby Chesser, Harry de Blaby and Cal St Johnston all performed strongly in what was a very competitive Intermediate Boys race.

Tabitha Bowden and Jess Robinson ran exceptional races finishing 6th and 7th respectively in the Intermediate Girls race. Tabitha’s 6th position means that she has qualified for the Surrey County Team at the Nationals for which Jess may also be selected.

Many congratulations to all who took part: these results show that all the hard training over the wet winter months has certainly paid off.
