The Lower Sixth Classical Civilisation set visited the Cast Gallery within the University of Cambridge’s Faculty of Classics on Wednesday. They explored the vast collection and a small workshop was led by our very own Miss Griffiths. They were then very lucky to be treated to a stimulating and very engaging talk by Dr Carrie Vout, who helped the students to think of the wider significance and context in which the statues stood and represented. The students were particularly amazed at the sheer scale of some of the statues that they have been studying this year. A great day had by all!
