Of the sixteen Cranleigh pupils that took part in the recent Junior Regional Performance Tier 1 competitions, nine have been selected to go one stage further to Tier 2, either to take part in the U17 and U15 HiPAC training camp this coming weekend, or to represent their region in the U18 and U16 Futures Cup competition during Long Leave at Cannock.

Katie Batchelor, James Gall, Alex Thompson, Will Calnan and Nathan Thorpe will be at the Futures Cup, where they will be under the scrutiny of the selectors for the England junior teams.  Charlotte Calnan, Ali Clift, Georgia Lord and Emily Robinson will be going to HiPAC.
The experience gained by all these pupils at this level of performance and training will be a great advantage to our School teams as they embark on their campaign to go as far as possible in the county, regional and national competitions for this season.  The first hurdle was cleared today when the U18 girls’ squad won their group for the heats stage of the Surrey Schools competition. They will now face City of London Freemen’s school in the Surrey semi-final to be played on 10th November.
