Sixth Former Chloe Allison (South) has realised one of her ambitions for 2012 by winning one of only two places for clarinet players in the National Youth Chamber Orchestra of Great Britain. After narrowly missing out on a place in the National Youth Orchestra for 2012 (she is reserve for the clarinet section), she was delighted with the news from the NYCO as chamber music is what she loves.  She has also won a much coveted place on a Cambridge Early Music course next summer when she will have the opportunity, alongside professional players, to develop her recorder and harpsichord playing. Everyone at Cranleigh wishes Chloe well, and will watch her continued progress with interest.
