The U18 sevens season started off in promising fashion with the team winning the Reigate shield trophy.

Despite missing a number of players, the squad – which rugby 7s, 2included two U16 players – fought well all day and got better with each match. After losing the first game, the team then went unbeaten for the remainder of the tournament with the noticeable scalps of Filton (Bristol’s rugby academy) and Dulwich.

With three more tournaments to go in the season, the side will be looking to build on the successes over the last two seasons which included winning the Hampton sevens twice in consecutive seasons and reaching the semi-final of the Daily Mail sevens.
