Economics Teacher Stuart Block has won a prestigious JustGiving award. Last year, Stuart cycled over 15,000km from Johannesburg in support of the Zambia-based charity Beyond Ourselves. Cranleigh continues to develop its links with the Kitwe community through our Beyond Cranleigh programme, which will see a further group of Cranleigh volunteers head to Zambia this July.

The JustGiving awards recognise outstanding charitable achievement conducted through this online tool for fund-raising. Stuart’s raising of over £100,000 was recognised at the JustGiving Awards held in London in April, where he was voted ‘Endurance Fundraiser of the Year’.

Responding to the prize, Mr Block comments: “I’m delighted to have won the award and feel so grateful to Cranleigh School for giving me the time off, and support, for the project in Zambia”
