In the recent British University Sports Association final, Nottingham University caused a real upset by beating their National League opponents Loughborough University. Ali Clift and James Gall were integral members of theOC Hockey Nottingham team that drew the final and then went on to win on penalty flicks. This is the first time that Nottingham have won the national title since 1962!

Will Calnan is in the England under 21 squad and has just been invited to join the full England Development squad that already contains Jonny and James Gall.

Also in the news is OC Ollie Davies who is at the University of Durham. At the end of each National League season, every player votes for the best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and forward in their division, and Ollie has been voted as one of the best 4 defenders in the National League Conference North division by his peers.

Finally Eleanor Jolly was in the Surbiton side that have just won the National Women’s Outdoor Cup, beating Clifton 3-2 with a goal three minutes from time.

Congratulations to them all.
