In celebration of National Poetry Day our Fourth Form reflected upon The Lost Words by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris, which aimed to ‘conjure’ back words that were disappearing for the vocabulary of children. The pupils tried to focus on autumnal and/or natural animals, plants and phenomenon.

Overall pupils created fantastic responses, the following budding poets displaying a by no means exhaustive example of their talent:

Leaves – Monty N.

Bonfire – Mia P.

Deer – Jack W.

Water – Izzy P.

Highlands – Molly B S.
