Pre-School (Age 3+)
Cranleigh Pre-School makes learning joyful, active and full of discovery.

How is learning structured at Cranleigh Pre-School?

At Cranleigh, Pre-School learning is active because that’s how young children learn best. Children play, move, talk and explore as they move through our free-flow Early Years spaces, and teachers shape each moment to keep the day purposeful, playful and calm. Everything is designed to give our youngest learners a happy, confident start to their Cranleigh journey, with our brand new Early Years education space and outdoor play area in Surrey making learning even more fun.

How does Cranleigh teach mixed-ability Pre-School classes?

Mixed-ability teaching is part of everyday life in Pre-School. Teaching staff get to know each child from day one and meet them right where they are – gently stretching, fully supporting and celebrating every step. Any learning differences are spotted quickly and treated as a chance to offer help. Expert Early Years teachers and assistants give every pupil a great start in early literacy, numeracy and writing, setting them up beautifully for the learning ahead.
