What clubs are available at Cranleigh Prep?

Cranleigh Prep offers lots of academic, creative and adventure and service clubs to help pupils stay curious and learn new skills. Whether it’s writing for The Buzz (our pupil-led magazine), baking and performing or exploring the outdoors, every child is encouraged to find something they love and try something new.

What clubs are available for Years 3–4?

Years 3 - 4 is all about trying lots of new things. Pupils can explore academic interests like puzzles, creative activities such as art and baking and nature experiences through Forest School, building early confidence in the outdoors.

Years 5 - 8 clubs step up a level with more choice. It’s a chance to explore academic interests further, take on creative projects, join pupil-led initiatives and enjoy sport and outdoor learning that actively drive personal development.

What is Priority Time at Cranleigh Prep?

Priority Time is built-in time for structured enrichment – planned activities that give pupils space to try new things and develop interests. Pupils typically take on 3 - 4 planned activities from over 60 academic, creative and outdoor options.

What academic societies does Cranleigh Prep run?

Academic societies include The Buzz (our pupil-led magazine) and Maths Mystery. These groups stretch thinking, build leadership skills and help pupils discover academic passions beyond the classroom.

Cranleigh Prep opens up the world beyond the classroom with a rich programme of trips and expeditions. Younger pupils start with day trips and progress to residentials, with an overseas adventure in Year 8.

What charity and community work does Cranleigh Prep do?

Service is part of everyday life at Cranleigh Prep. Pupils vote each year for a local, national and international charity and take the lead on fundraising initiatives across the school. The buzz of supporting others and being part of something bigger runs through the school community.

What outdoor education does Cranleigh Prep offer?

Outdoor education at our Prep school in Surrey evolves as pupils grow. From Forest School in the early years to gardening, outdoor challenges and an overseas expedition in Year 8, pupils build a range of skills that stay with them long after the adventure ends.
