Will my child fit in?

Almost certainly – because there is no such thing as a typical Cranleigh pupil.

What if my child isn't the most academic?

Children do not need to be top of the class to thrive at Cranleigh.

We are ambitious for every pupil, but we also recognise that success looks different for different children. Our focus is on helping each young person make excellent progress from their own starting point.

Some pupils flourish academically from day one. Others develop confidence and momentum over time. What matters is a willingness to learn, engage and embrace opportunities.

What if my child is highly academic?

Academic curiosity and ambition are at the heart of Cranleigh. Pupils are encouraged to think deeply, ask questions and develop intellectual independence through expert teaching and a culture of high expectations.

Academic Scholars benefit from additional stretch and enrichment through the Purvis Society, exploring ideas beyond the curriculum, engaging with expert speakers and learning alongside like-minded peers.

Our aim is not only to help pupils achieve academic success, but to nurture curious, confident and adaptable young people with a lifelong love of learning.

Will my child be stretched and challenged?

Absolutely. Children grow when they are encouraged to step beyond their comfort zone.

Whether in the classroom, on the sports field, on stage, through leadership opportunities or in the wider co-curricular programme, pupils are challenged to aim high, take risks and discover what they are capable of achieving.
