What is the sporting ethos at Cranleigh Prep?

Sport has been at the heart of Cranleigh Prep for generations. Every pupil is encouraged to participate, develop and compete, with opportunities ranging from trying a sport for the first time to pursuing performance pathways in their chosen disciplines.

Our major games programme gives pupils regular opportunities to train, compete and represent the school, with weekly fixtures in season and teams for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced players.

Whether pupils are selected for an A team, develop their skills in another squad or discover a new passion, every child is encouraged, supported and valued.

How do I apply for a sport scholarship at Cranleigh?

We look for all-round athletes when offering sport scholarships at 11+ and 13+. Sport scholars are pupils who demonstrate commitment, potential and a genuine enthusiasm for sport, rather than early specialisation.

We recognise potential as well as achievement. Pupils interested in sports scholarships receive guidance and support to help them prepare confidently.
