Sixth Form artists had a lively visit to Tate Modern and Tate Britain, using the Tate Boat service between the two galleries at lunchtime. As well as viewing the permanent collection, including an exclusive visit by a number to the Print Room, pupils looked at two special exhibitions ‘A Bigger Splash’ and ‘The Turner Prize 2012’. Neither were easy shows but the challenge and opportunity to see a range of work first hand in both galleries was invaluable.
