Cranleigh Ski Team competed in their first championship on Monday 24th April at Hemel Hempstead ski centre, testing their newly acquired skills against over 20 schools in the ISA Indoor event.

This was the first time any of the team had skied through ‘full slalom gates’ and all stepped up to the challenge and performed very well. Benjy Carr (Loveday) was the fastest skier overall, gaining a top 20 place. Lucas Le Saux was a close second gaining a 5th place in the U18 Boys. Phoebe Smith (South) came a close 5th in the U16 Girls and Phoebe Timberlake (South) and Rosie Walker (South) gained 4th and 5th position in the U18 Girls event.

Overall the girls team was 3rd and the mixed team 4th. The full set of results can be found here. All of the skiers enjoyed the day and really enjoyed competing against other schools. The next event for the team will be the ISSSC in Les Deux Alpes in December.
