Year 9 pupil, Anna C. has achieved an outstanding mark of 140 for her recent Grade 8 violin exam.

This is an exceptionally high distinction for a pupil of thirteen, and an achievement made even more notable for having taken her exam remotely.

Anna’s programme included works by Bach, Tchaikovsky, Ten-Have and Saint-Saens, and she studies the violin with Lucy-Ellen Spencer.

Like many young musicians, Anna has had to adapt and develop new performance skills this year. To give such a commanding performance on film requires a huge amount of preparation and skill. Anna is a very exciting talent, playing with a maturity beyond her years, and we look forward to being able to hear her perform in person later this year.
