
What after-school care is available for Years 1 and 2 at Cranleigh?
Our after-school provision for children aged 5–7 offers a relaxed, familiar and enjoyable way to end the school day with friends. Children enjoy a range of fun, age-appropriate activities in a calm on-site setting, supported by teachers who know them well.
What activities do you offer?
Every day offers a balanced rhythm of play, creativity and calm, supporting the interests and developmental needs of Year 1 and Year 2 pupils. Children can get involved in crafts, outdoor games and reading, ensuring there is always something they want to do.

What is the activity schedule?
The after-school routine for Cranleigh Year 1 and 2 pupils is calm and familiar, helping children move gently from lessons into their afternoon activities. Wraparound activities sit naturally alongside Cranleigh’s wider programme of sport, music, drama and art to more unusual activities like Stonemasonry, giving pupils plenty of opportunities to explore their interests.

Parents are encouraged to sign up for some activities early as places fill up quickly.
What are the pick-up times?
Afternoon pick-up is flexible between 3.50pm and 5.45pm, with late stays until 5.45pm bookable in advance.
What food is provided?
Pupils enjoy light snacks served between 4.50pm and 5.45pm. Menus are designed to be nutritious and cater for a range of dietary requirements, ensuring every child is well looked after. Food includes healthy, balanced options such as rice cakes, yoghurts,
How is after-school care supervised at Cranleigh?
After-school care is led by trained Early Years teachers, ensuring children always see a familiar face. Full safeguarding procedures are in place throughout the afternoon, and every child is collected through a secure, sign-out system. The emphasis is on a warm, welcoming end to the day, where pupils feel safe, supported and genuinely known.
How much does after-school care cost?
4.00pm - 5.45pm: No additional cost, no snacks provided
5.45pm - 6.30pm: Supper Club, £7.50 (this includes a light tea)
6.30pm - 7.30pm: Evening Care, £30 per session
How do I book after-school care?
Families are encouraged to register their interest early, as places are limited and regular sessions can fill quickly. Communications will go out at the beginning of each term for you to book your child into wraparound care. For any adhoc bookings please email wraparoundcare@cranleigh.org.

What time does after-school care begin?
After-school care runs from 4pm Monday to Friday during term-time.
How late can I collect?
After-school care runs until 5.45pm Monday to Friday, term-time. Late stays past 5.45pm up to 7.30pm can be booked in advance. Please be aware that these incur an additional fee.
Are meals provided?
Snacks are provided between 4.50pm and 5.45pm. For those that book into Supper Club from 5.45pm - 6.30pm, an evening meal alongside boarders is provided including hot meal options, fruits, healthy deserts and yogurts, and juice.
If my child is only there between 4pm and 4.40pm will they get snacks?
No, snacks are provided in the following Afterschool Activities session that runs from 4.50pm to 5.45pm.
Can I book ad-hoc sessions?
Yes, ad-hoc sessions can be booked but are subject to availability. For any adhoc bookings please email wraparoundcare@cranleigh.org.
