How does the Year 10 & 11 Diploma help every child reach their potential?
The Intermediate Diploma helps every pupil develop the key skills that matter most. Pupils develop these strengths through STRIDE, which stands for Stewardship, Technology, Readiness, Innovation, Diversity and Economic literacy. This unique curriculum helps pupils at our independent school in Surrey build the independence, self-awareness and real-world readiness they need to thrive at Sixth Form and beyond.
By the end of Year 11, pupils move naturally into the Sixth Form Diploma (Advanced), where they develop these skills further.
What do Cranleigh Year 10 & 11 Diploma pupils study?
Pupils enjoy two weekly STRIDE lessons, giving them regular space to explore themes that build confidence, teamwork and practical skills. Through these lessons, they can take part in reading challenges, creative projects, team-based tasks, public speaking, outreach and work experience – all guided by Cranleigh’s values and designed to help them grow as learners and young people.
