Upper Sixth Pupils Celebrate Strong A Level Results

2 minute read
Cranleigh A Level Results Day

Our Upper Sixth pupils at Cranleigh School are celebrating strong A Level results today, with 85% of all grades achieved at A* to B and half of all pupils earning A* or A grades in two or more subjects.

These outcomes highlight a successful year across both arts and sciences. In STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), 92% of pupils achieved A*– B grades, while Creative Arts subjects (Art, Drama, and Music) saw 93% at A*– B. Earlier in the year, pupils also demonstrated independent research strength in the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), where 53% gained A* or A grades.

88% of our students have secured their university places at Russell group and equivalent universities with others going to institutions of distinction, including University of Oxford and University of Cambridge.

There are also a number of students who have successfully been accepted into international institutions, such as Brown University and Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Students have chosen to study a wide variety of subjects including, Aerospace Engineering, Architecture, Earth Sciences, Marine Biology, International Security Studies and Sport Management, as well as subjects such as, English Literature and Economics.

The results reflect our pupils’ dedication both in the classroom and across wider school life. Throughout their Sixth Form journey, pupils earned these top grades while actively participating in sports teams, outdoor education, music ensembles, and stage productions.

Sam Price, Head of Cranleigh School, commented:

“We are delighted with this year’s strong A Level results. Our Upper Sixth students have worked exceptionally hard, supported every step of the way by their dedicated teachers and families.

A Cranleigh education has always extended far beyond the classroom. This cohort has not only achieved academically, but also taken the lead in our co-curricular life. They leave us as capable, well-rounded young adults, and we wish them every success for the future.”
