What music opportunities are available at Prep?

Music at Cranleigh Prep runs through the rhythm of school life, with every pupil singing or performing regularly. Pupils can get involved in a range of music opportunities including classroom music, choirs, orchestras and ensembles for all ages. What music events happen at Cranleigh Prep?

Cranleigh Prep hosts an exciting calendar of music events throughout the year, giving pupils lots of chances to perform. Concerts, recitals, House and choral events, and larger productions all contribute to Cranleigh’s unique musical culture. Choral evensong and formal performances also play an important role across the school. Alongside these major showcases, pupils have plenty of informal chances to perform and enjoy music-making with their peers.

We recently launched a Performing Arts Week, with music at its core. The inaugural event gave pupils the opportunity to perform on a live stage in a range of performances, including songs from Six, Battle of the Bands, solo performances with our house band and small ensemble concerts. It was a wonderful celebration of creativity, collaboration and musical talent.
