Cranleigh School is set in 280 acres of Surrey countryside, eight miles from Guildford, and close to the thriving village of Cranleigh. The School enjoys a rural environment situated within an hour’s drive of London.
Founded in 1865 as a boys’ boarding school, the School is now co-educational and currently has around 600 pupils. Pupils arrive at the School aged 13 and leave after A Levels. The School has a strong partnership with the nearby Cranleigh Preparatory School (7 to 13) but pupils also join from a wide range of other preparatory schools across London and the South East.
Cranleigh is one of the biggest employers in the local area, with a large team of teachers, pastoral staff and bursarial support. All members of the School eat together in a central self-service Dining Hall.
The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The School supports the principle of equal opportunities and welcomes applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion or beliefs, disability or sexual orientation. Only applications submitted on the School’s Application Form will be considered.
